Wage Rate:
The starting wage rate is $22.59/hour.

SCOPE OF WORK
Now, if you were to come on board as our Dietary Aide, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
• Preparing, portioning and serving meals including beverages, salads, main course and desserts.
• Setting, clearing and sanitizing of tables.
• Perform regular table maintenance and quality checks during service using a warm and hospitable demeanor.
• Scrape and sort dirty dishware and place in the dishwasher and wash dishes as required.
• Setup and delivery of food trays to Residents.
• Transport dishes from main kitchen to different dining areas in the building.
• Restock service areas.
• Clean and sanitize dining room floor after each meal service.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Residents and personnel information.
• Complete required temperature checks and cleaning logs.
• Always maintain safe environment.
• Always maintain clean and professional uniform and grooming, including hair, facial hair, nails, jewelry and the use of the complete proper uniform and name tag.
• Perform duties according to health & safety work practices and report all injuries and hazards to the Supervisor immediately.
• Understand Resident dietary restrictions and immediately correct any issues by bringing them to the attention of the Chef.
• Anticipate Resident and Guest needs and take action to deliver on those needs.
• Report any potential Resident health concerns immediately to supervisor or the healthcare team. Support a Resident First focused Environment:
• Take the safety of Residents, Clients and other Associates seriously by following all safety procedures and practices.
• Be a team player and go above and beyond to support other Associates when you see that they need help.
• Have lots of fun with your team and be sure to ask for help when you need it.
• Engage in conversation with Residents, get to know them, their likes and dislikes, who they are and what they love.
• Be attentive, stay alert. Look for subtle signs and cues that our Residents, Clients and other Associates put forth.
• Be helpful to others always.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience serving an asset
• Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care
• Certified Food Service Worker Certificated
• Must have a strong understanding of the English language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A passion for helping seniors and a willingness to smile often.
