Position Overview

Working as a student at Chateau Park is more than just a summer job—it’s about connection, community, and compassion. You’ll work closely with our team and residents, gaining valuable skills and making a positive impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

Depending on your interests and availability, you may:

• Assist the Nursing Administrative Assistant with day to day tasks like: filing, scheduling, filling shifts and other administrative duties
• Spend time with residents by chatting, reading, or playing games
• Assist with recreation programs like arts & crafts, music, or special events
• Support environmental services through light cleaning, organizing, or gardening
• Use your tech skills to help residents explore the internet
• Be a friendly, familiar face that brightens someone’s day

Requirements

• Attend an interview to determine eligibility
• A 2-Step TB Test within the last 6 months
• Volunteers over age 18 will need a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Volunteers under 18 years old will require an original letter from the Principle/Teacher/Guidance Counsellor
• Must submit at least two references
• Sign homes Code of Conduct
